How To Have The Best Sea Life Day Out With Your Kids

Are you looking for a fun and educational day out with your kids? Look no further than SEA LIFE, the world-renowned aquarium that’s guaranteed to delight children of all ages. With locations around the world, SEA LIFE provides a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the ocean’s most fascinating creatures.

But how can you make the most of your day out at SEA LIFE? We recently headed to the Centre in Great Yarmouth for a fun family day out. I’ll share my top tips for having the best SEA LIFE day out with your kids, from taking advantage of discounts to planning your visit around feeding times and special events.

Sea Life Day Out

Buy your tickets in advance

The best way to avoid queues is to book your tickets online in advance. The Great Yarmouth Centre actually only takes online bookings currently so do make sure you have prebooked. You can also usually save money by doing this. Check the Sea Life website for the latest deals and promotions.

Check for any Sea Life ticket discounts

Sea Life is part of the Merlin brand, therefore you can normally pick up a voucher code! we actually used 2 different ones for our family. Kellogg’s snack packs offer a 2-for-1 ticket which we used for 2 adult tickets 9this cost us £20 total). We then used some Tesco Clubcard points to exchange vouchers. This got us a child ticket for our 4-year-old for just £5 in Clubcard vouchers. Our 1 year old was free!

Plan your Sea Life Day out

Take a look at the Sea Life website before you go and plan out what you want to see. This way you can ensure you don’t miss any exhibits or shows. There are lots of talks and feeds throughout the day like ray feeding and penguin talks.

Arrive early Sea Life centres can get very busy

It’s best to arrive early when it opens to avoid the crowds if you have booked a flexible ticket. This also gives you more time to explore and enjoy the exhibits. We booked a timed ticket (they are cheaper). This means you can just turn up around your slot and go straight in.

Take your time on your Sea Life day out

There are usually plenty of places to take a break and grab a snack or drink in the Sea Life Centre. Make sure to take regular stops, especially if you have little ones with you. We did a lot of hanging back during the busy spells as rooms can get very crowded. 2 minutes later and you’ll be alone in the room.

Take photos of your day!

Make sure to take plenty of photos to remember your day out. There are plenty of photo opportunities and backdrops in the Sea Life Centre. Before you enter you will also do a greenscreen photo of your group. They then drop you into the Arctic or a shark’s jaw! These can then be bought at the end of your walk around.
